Virginia Casey was born on October 25, 1921. Her parents, Steven and Nellie Casey and their son, Frank, were pleased to welcome a healthy, chubby, smiling girl.

During Ginnie’s lifetime she was always a happy, cheerful and understanding person. Not only with her family, but also with many friends.

Mom (Virginia) was my loving heavenly wife for 60 years. We were married on June 25, 1942, and our love and respect was forever. Mom was the devoted and supportive mother of our three children, Richard, Carol and Joan, and their spouses.

Mom also had a super great relationship with our six grandchildren, Brian, Danny, Lisa, Keith, Jeff and Hope, who are also married and now have nine children.

Mom developed many friendships because of her warm personality. She developed these friendships naturally because she was a good listener and understanding person.

Mom unfortunately was not with us to welcome our nine great-grandchildren. However, we are sure that she is watching over them and are recognized in her prayers.

Truly, Virginia was always there all for all, in good or bad times. If asked to do something she was never too busy. Family came first and everything else followed. Her relationship with the grandkids went beyond the call of duty. Whether it was babysitting, chauffeuring, attending baseball, basketball, hockey games, or volleyball, dance class or skating events she was there. She was a leader and set an example for all of us.

Now I would like to share with you just a few of the happenings that pleased her and made her the happy person that she always was.

Ginnie loved to entertain family and special friends. She prepared and gave parties at Christmas, birthdays and most other holidays for the family. She frequently invited others for dinner (I even helped her).

Decorating our homes, both inside and outside for holidays was always something that she looked forward to and enjoyed.

A highlight for both of us was the acquisition in 1971 of our summer residence on a chain of 17 lakes in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. She loved the quiet solitude relaxation during our annual six months stay in Planting Ground Lake. Here hobbies were boat riding in our Deck Boat with Captain Hank at the throttle.

In self-defense she learned to fish. And, she became a pretty good fisherperson.

Virginia loved life and we shared and advocated the following:

“Think Positive. Smile. Treat others the way you like to be treated. Believe in yourself and in God!”

Family values, teamwork and love were themes she preached to all of us and we are dedicated to continue them.

In summary, when you reflect upon Virginia Frankel’s happiness and accomplishments she gets an A++.
